Adryn: lit classical

Classical concert pianist Adryn Miller has performed in distinguished venues around the world, from The Peninsula Hong Kong to castles in Scotland and concert halls in Russia. Her music has been featured in film and television, and she is the creator of two programs reflecting her commitment to expanding the reach and impact of classical music: Music for Healing at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles and Lit Classical, her signature concert series bringing the extraordinary human stories behind classical music to contemporary audiences. In 2026, Adryn was selected for the prestigious 100 Women of Impact, a curated national network of influential women leaders and changemakers, recognizing her distinguished contributions to music through classical performance, education, and the transformative power of music in healing.

Adryn’s relationship with the piano began at age four. By 11, she was performing her first concerto with the Seattle and Southeast Symphonies, and at 13, she began teaching students of her own. She continued her training at the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts under Dady Mehta, and pursued piano performance at university, where she was named Best Pianist of the Year.

Following graduation, Adryn moved to Los Angeles, performing as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the city. Among her appearances was a performance for the Board of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, as well as her selection as the first featured artist of the Santa Monica Living Room Concert Series. Her performance career subsequently took her across the United States and around the world.

Her belief in music’s ability to reach people far beyond the concert hall led to another defining chapter. At Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, Adryn founded the piano division of the Music for Healing program, secured the donation of a new Yamaha grand piano, and performed at its inaugural gala. What began with only a handful of musicians grew to include hundreds of pianists across musical genres, sharing their gifts with patients, families, staff, and visitors.

Years of performing also led Adryn to recognize a different challenge: the growing distance between classical music and contemporary audiences. She believed that understanding the people behind the masterpieces could fundamentally change the way audiences experienced their music. That insight became Lit Classical.

Rather than presenting composers as remote historical figures, Adryn introduces audiences to the remarkable human beings behind the music—their ambitions and inspirations, loves and losses, rivalries, struggles, passions, and sometimes delightfully naughty foibles. She then reveals how those experiences found their way into some of the greatest compositions ever written before performing the works themselves.

Flexible in format and repertoire, Lit Classical is designed for both seasoned classical audiences and the “classical-curious.” Through storytelling, musical insight, and live performance, Adryn provides the context that allows listeners not simply to hear a masterpiece, but to understand what—and who—is behind it.
